As a solution-focused therapist, my goal is to help you uncover your true potential and lead a life that is worth celebrating. While we can't change difficult situations of the past, we can work together to better understand and resolve challenges in your life. By applying complementary therapy approaches and techniques, we will unearth long-standing behavior patterns or negative perceptions that may be holding you back from experiencing a more fulfilling and meaningful life.
If you're looking for extra support and guidance through a challenging situation or you're just ready to move in a new direction in your life, I look forward to working with you to achieve your goals. Please call or email me for an individual, couples or family therapy consultation today.
Meet Elizabeth B. Sullivan, LMSW. She is a new addition to this practice and a very competent therapist who has expertise in adolesence and trauma.
Liz understands that reaching out to a therapist for the first time can produce considerable anxiety. Her goal is to make clients feel comfortable from the very beginning so that they are best able to use therapy to reach their goals and live happily and healthily at home, work or school. Many of us have experienced a traumatic event that affects our thinking, emotions and behavior. We may have never even told anyone about the things that bother us the most. Liz's specialty is TF-CBT, which allows past events to be processed and loosens their influence on the present.
Although she focuses on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Gottman Couples therapy, she use an eclectic approach to best suit the needs of her clients. She is client-centered and strength-based and will truly listen if a client wants to redefine his or her therapeutic goals.
If I am unable to meet with you, you will be referred to Liz Sullivan, LMSW. Feel free to reach out to her directly at (516) 712-4919 or by email at email@example.com
